QUARTZ SANDS

As a leading fused quartz manufacturer, Valiant operates a vertically integrated production process, which begins with the purification of high-quality quartz sands.   Ultra-pure sands are produced via our advanced purification technology to meet demanding criteria in many applications.   The majority of Valiant ultra-pure sand production supports our internal fused quartz manufacturing process; however, Valiant also supplies two sand grades to support various customer needs.

Our capabilities include precise control over particle size distribution, chemical purity, and consistent quality.   Valiant sands are suitable for many industries, e.g., semiconductor, solar, specialty glass industries, and construction.   The Valiant quartz product line includes two main types of quartz sands, which are available to customers.

Grade QL640-1:   High Purity Quartz Sand

This quartz sand grade is a vital raw material used in the production of specialty glasses.   Composed primarilyof silicon dioxide (SiO₂) with minimal impuritiesand exceptionally low levels of iron (below 3ppm), QL640-1 is ideal for manufacturing ultra-clear soft glasses and other precision materials.

Grade QL640-2:   Fused Silica Sand

Crystal clear in appearance, this high-performance, amorphous, non-crystalline structure sand is produced by melting quartz sands at extreme high temperatures then rapidly cooling the material.

Fused silica sand is known for exceptional thermal stability, low thermal expansion, and excellent chemical resistance. Applications in various industries include investment casting, foundry, semiconductor, optics, and even high-end quartz countertops.
