Opaque quartz materials are a type of quartz glass distinguished by their white appearance. The presence of numerous microscopic gas bubbles within the material scatters light, which results in an opitical opacity that enhances thermal insulation properties. Opaque quartz is often used in semiconductor and solar industrial applications requiring high purity, chemical resistance, and thermal stabiliy.
Grade QL220: Opaque Quartz Tubes
Opaque quartz tubes are widely used in assorted heat treatment devices, due to their excellent high temperature resistance, viscosity and the ability to shield heat.
Typical Inner Diameter Sizes: 2”, 3”, 4”, 6”, 8” ,10”, 12”
Maximum Length: Up to 80”
Grade QL230: Low Alkaline Opaque Quartz Plates/Rings
Plates and rings are two common finished products made from QL230 grade opaque quartz material. Opaque rings are found in various heat treatment devices, utilized as blanks for furnace core tubes. Desirable characteristics are high temperature resistance, viscosity, and the ability to shield heat. This material also satisfies low alkaline requirements.
